Empowering Women and Gender Minorities in Tech

Diversity and inclusion are a big part of who we are. At a time where technology will define what it means to be human, it’s crucial that we ensure that our future is built by people from all walks of life, and that people from all walks of life have the opportunity to be a part of it.

Northcoders Gender Diversity Fund

Since our very first bootcamp in 2016, we’ve invested thousands of pounds to increase the representation of women and gender minorities in tech. In 2023, we launched our "Women and Gender Diversity Fund," and this year, we’re taking it one step further by providing scholarships worth over £40,000.

The 2024 fund will enable 5 women or those belonging to gender minorities to enrol in our part-time "Software Development in Javascript" bootcamp over 30 weeks, starting July 29th. Our part-time course was developed to accommodate those who aren’t able to participate in our full-time courses due to work or caring commitments, empowering them to kick-start a career through Northcoders.

We are now offering 5 scholarships worth £8,450 each, available by applying here.

We are hoping that this initiative will help to remove barriers and empower a diverse range of people to pursue a career in tech.
