iTinerary is your own personal travel agent that aims to take the hassle out of holiday planning. It uses a smart TravelBot which creates a customised list of recommendations for things to do and places to eat at your holiday destination, based on your personal preferences. You can then browse through this list and select the activities that you’re interested in, and iTinerary will create a bespoke schedule for you. That way, you can spend less time researching and planning your holiday
Came up with the idea as two of us are solo travellers and would have liked an app such as this when travelling.

Technologies
We used: React Native, Expo, Firebase, Mapbox Api, axios, JavaScript, API ninjas.
React Native and Expo for mobile app development as they allowed cross-platform functionality. Firebase was excellent for data storage and user authentication as the UI libraries enabled ease of use. Mapbox API has vast data on places relevant to a holiday and much more.
Challenges Faced
Developing mobile apps uses emulators for the development which some of the team were unable to use due to hardware constraints, expo allowed us to overcome this as it enabled web browser rendering. Alongside using new technologies such as React Native and firebase, integrating the chatbot was also significant task as this was the first time using this.
