We used Firebase, Google Lens, React, React Native, ExpoGO, React-Native-Maps, Expo-Location, Expo-Device, Expo Image Picker, React Navigation, Day.js, React-Native-Select-Dropdown.

We used Google Lens as our identification plugin and Firebase as our NoSQL database.

Designing a mobile app in React Native proved challenging as we had little to no previous experience dealing with an application design such as this. This came with a steep learning curve, as did implementing Google Lens and the Sighting Map.
