Team Differently Wired present Park Find&Remind
Your Key to Seamless Parking Solutions
With Park Find&Remind, you'll enjoy a comprehensive set of functions that make parking convenient, stress-free, and organised. This App was created to help users save their parking location on a map, set reminders when to return to their parked car, and navigate to the location with ease via a map interface. It is aimed at firstly anyone who has ever struggled to find their car after it has been parked. Also more generally it is a comprehensive solution to simply the need for the use of multiple tools to achieve the same result and also as a "set-it" and "forget-it" organisation tool for busy people to save time in their daily schedules.

Tech Stack
We used: Expo, React Native, JavaScript, TomTom maps API, Google Firebase, Google Auth, HTML and CSS.
Expo was chosen to allow us to develop a mobile app for both IOS and Android and streamline the process, Expo also allowed us to handle notifications to be used as reminders for our users.
We chose to use Google Firebase to try working with a popular non-relational database for our data storage and retrieval needs.
Google Auth was chosen for use to increase security when using the app and also to streamline the sign-in process for users.
React Native was chosen as we were confident we would be able to build our desired features using this framework.
Choosing the TomTom Maps API for our parking app provided us with reliable mapping data, location and routing capabilities, comprehensive parking information, interactive visualisation, and a developer-friendly ecosystem. These features help contribute to a seamless and user-friendly parking experience for app users.
Some aspects of the project also involved the use of HTML and styling of components was handled with CSS to achieve a clean and professional-looking style.
Time constraints were an issue throughout the development process, also working with new and unfamiliar frameworks and services for the first time.
Organisation and team work were initially challenging as we tried working with Kanban and Scrum in the agile methodology.
As a team we collaborated effectively once we were more used to working in that manner, we did pull together to produce our app in a very short amount of time with some really good features.
