Team Logic present Dinder

Dinder is a restaurant matchmaker for indecisive foodies

We're confident everyone has at some point struggled to decide what they should have for their dinner, this is where Dinder comes in. Our App provides the user with restaurant and takeaway ideas based on their location & food preferences, if this is not enough to help you decide then Dinder will even decide for you, ensuring that your cravings are cured!

Tech Stack

We used Expo, Axios, React Native, Xcode, MongoDB, mongoose, node.js, Express, Jest, Git, Figma.

For our tech stack, we used some technologies that we were taught in the course and we were happy to use them as a part of our project, we also used some new technologies that were challenging but we enjoyed the challenge to understand and use them in our project, for our planning we used Figma to plan our front-end screens and overall look of our app, we used Trello for ticketing our back end endpoints and different screens in the front end.
For version control, we used git and GitHub which we're all familiar with, our database was in MongoDB which is a nonrelational database, we used js to write our backend and express for routing and Jest for testing our backend which we are taught in the course, our frontEnd was written in js and react native which is an open-source UI framework used for developing android and ios applications, we used expo which is a framework and platform for react applications, it has a set of tools built around react native to help develop and deploy applications from same js codebase, our requests were made by Axios, we also used Xcode which is a simulator to see you ios application live while you making changes to your app.
Another thing that is worth mentioning is postcode API, postcode API is a free API that we used to get the geocoordinates of a postcode as well.
