An app designed for Christmas shoppers looking for that perfect gift. It works by providing tailored recommendations from eBay Marketplace based firstly on a set of preferences, which become more and more refined via a machine-learning algorithm. We all have those people in our lives that are difficult to buy for, this app is inspired by them!

We used Javascript, React Native, axios, node.js, express.js, jest, supertest, python, flask, gensim, pytest, git, GitHub.

We were all keen to develop a mobile app using React Native with a backend in node to enhance the Javascript skills we had already developed at Northcoders.
As a team, we were interested in learning more about AI and machine learning so we also decided to give machine learning and natural language processing a go; we quickly realised this would be best written in Python.
