The FUNdamentalists present The Changing Room
Reducing the environmental impact of fashion and raising money for charity.
The Changing Room is a site where users can connect to swap unwanted clothes with each other or offer them in exchange for a charitable donation.
It was inspired by the bags of old clothes we all have lying around at home, just waiting to be taken to a charity shop. Those bits of outdoor gear we haven't quite got round to using that are gathering dust in cupboards. With growing concerns about the cost of living, the app also gives consumers a way to update their wardrobe without breaking the bank.
Users can list items for swaps, quickly initiate swaps with others, and send messages to arrange the final logistics of swap. To build trust between users, a review function is included.

Tech Stack
We used Vue.js, Supabase, Node.js, git, PostgreSQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
We wanted to learn new technologies in the backend and frontend. The user-friendly interface of Supabase was a big draw and we preferred the syntax of Vue to React due to the clearer distinction between HTML and other sections of the code.
