Learn the skills you need to become a C# Software Developer

Our Software Development Bootcamp in C# is designed for those eager to embark on a career in tech, offering a comprehensive curriculum in software development using C#. This programme is not just about learning to code; it's about acquiring all the developer skills you need to thrive in a dynamic job market. C# Software Development differs from our other bootcamps and is ideal for those wanting to focus more on Web APIs, enterprise applications or back end systems.

Average salaries in the UK for Junior C# developers is £27,500 according to IT Jobs Watch, increasing to £60,000 for C# developers, according to DevIT Jobs, and after the Northcoders bootcamp you can get a Full-stack Web Developer role to design, develop, and maintain ASP.NET Core systems and databases.

You can go on to these job roles following the bootcamp with Mobile and Windows Developer being a short step away and Game Development needing slightly more steps:

Mobile Application Developer: Develop mobile apps using Xamarin.

Game Developer: Develop games for various platforms using C# and Unity.

Windows Application Developer: Create applications for Windows OS.

Want to know more about the day to day of the bootcamp? You can find out more here.

FAQs

  • What time do your courses run each day?

Our coding bootcamp runs full-time from 8:30 to 17:00, Monday to Friday.

  • How many contact hours will I get?

You'll get a whopping 480 contact hours while you're at Northcoders. That's what you will need to fully prepare you for a career in tech.

  • Will I get a mentor?

Yes, you will have a dedicated mentor for each part of the course.

  • How much experience do I need?

None. You can apply to our bootcamps with no prior experience (although you might enjoy getting started prior to application!) If you've never coded before, we will help you get started and help you discover whether it is right for you before you commit to the course, and support you every step of the way.

  • Do I need any qualifications to do this course?

No. We're far more interested in what you want to achieve. This course is designed for people from any and all walks of life who are interested in starting a new career in tech, regardless of what you have done before.

  • How do I get a place on the course?

First, you’ll need to apply. We’ll review your application and decide whether to offer you an Entry Challenge. If you’re successful, we’ll send you our preparation materials. They’re designed to be fun, and are suitable for people who have never coded before. We’ll be there every step of the way to support you and help you decide whether you want to enrol on the coding bootcamp. Finally, to secure your place, you’ll complete our Entry Challenge. It’s relaxed, and you’ll be able to refer to your notes or look things up online. What we’re looking for is your drive to learn to code, and your aptitude for problem-solving.

  • Do you offer part-time courses?

We offer a 30-week part-time bootcamp, please note this is only available self-funded.

  • How many Skills Bootcamps can I do?

You can do as many Skills Bootcamps as you like, but only one per each financial year (April to March). Your new Skills Bootcamp must also not have any overlap with any previous ones. As all Northcoders coding bootcamps teach to the same level, taking you from beginner to junior developer, you will only be eligible for one Skills Bootcamp with us.

  • What are Skills Bootcamps?

Skills Bootcamps are free courses funded by the Department for Education. Northcoders offers government-funded scholarship places as part of the Skills Bootcamp scheme on all of our full-time coding bootcamps. Upon completion of one of our courses on a Skills Bootcamp place, you are guaranteed a job interview within the tech industry.

  • Can I pay for the bootcamp on a credit card?

Yes, you are able to pay the advance payment on a credit card, find out more about this on our payment options.

  • What operating system will I need?

For C# course, you will need Windows, if this is not possible, we'd recommend the Software Development Bootcamp in Java.
