Pixel Plunge is a deep sea fishing game, where the aim is to catch as many fish as possible before the oxygen runs out. Users can upgrade equipment to extend their dive times, and also check what fish they have caught and what fish they are missing in the 'fishidex'!

We used: React, Firebase, Phaser
We wanted to make a game and thought Phaser would be an ideal game framework to use. We used Firebase because the platform helps to set up and maintain the back end, as well as user authentication.
Challenges Faced
Integrating the Phaser component into the React app, setting up a .env file for firebase, tile mapping and ensuring there was a consistent tile set used across all maps and that the json files were configured correctly.
