Digital Manager to Junior Developer
Mohamed
Junior Developer at ANS
How did you find your time on the bootcamp?
My time at Northcoders was great! The staff and mentors were very friendly and supportive, and the place always had a positive vibe to it. The course itself was intense but very enjoyable and overall it was a brilliant experience that I would recommend to anyone else seeking a future in tech.
Truly the best set of academic staff I have come across, and one of the main factors that sets Northcoders above other institutions
What were you doing before the bootcamp and what made you apply?
Before I started the course I was in a role doing digital marketing and business development. I'd always had an interest in technology and software development but thought I would have to do a computer science degree to get into a field. Then I found Northcoders.
What was the support like on the course?
The teaching team were extremely supportive during the course. The mentors would go above and beyond to help the students. Some would even stay behind after the end of the day and help students who were in need of help. They seemed to genuinely care about their students, and all of them were extremely friendly. Truly the best set of academic staff I have come across, and one of the main factors that sets Northcoders above other institutions.
How much support did you receive from Northcoders with your job search after the course?
The support provided was amazing. Graduates could request to be put in touch with any of the available hiring partners, and could ask the hiring team to contact any company they were interested in applying to, and the team would do their utmost to help you land the role. The hiring team were always available to talk to and provided updates and advice regularly. They showed genuine care for the graduates and would do their best to guide them to role that would suit them. Again, this is one of the main factors that sets Northcoders above other institutions, and their records and stats are a testament to that.
What advice would you give to anyone thinking about applying?
Definitely give it a go and if you do find it interesting be proactive and apply, its definitely worth it.
Anything else you'd like to add?
Shout out to all Northcoders staff and mentors. Thank you for everything.
