How did you find your time on the bootcamp?
Northcoders has been very challenging. I have made a lot of good friends throughout the course and have learnt a lot. The teaching quality is amazing. I was continuously pushed out of my comfort zone.
I would say that you can teach yourself to code to an extent, but there's no way I could have got this far this quickly without this course
What were you doing before the bootcamp and what made you apply?
I had finished a master's the year before but I was unsure of what career I wanted so I had been doing temporary contract work. In my spare time I had been making a website by myself and when I saw this course I knew it was the right choice.
What was the support like on the course?
The teaching was excellent. They were very enthusiastic about us asking questions and continuously asked for feedback. Therefore, the teaching styles became tailored to each class. The teachers really went above and beyond.
How much support did you receive from Northcoders with your job search after the course?
The support was great. I met the people I now work for on the Friday I finished the course and had start working alongside them ten days later.
What advice would you give to anyone thinking about applying?
I would say that you can teach yourself to code to an extent but there's no way I could have got this far this quickly without this course. So if you want to start learning to code, this is a fairly failsafe way of doing it!
