How did you find your time on the bootcamp?

It was intense and fast-paced but I wouldn't change it for anything! The whole learning experience from the people I met on the course to the staff supporting us to the course content was amazing.

What were you doing before the Bootcamp and what made you apply?

I was working in hospitality but since having 2 daughters I felt it would be good for them to see that women can also work in male-dominated fields.

What was the support like on the course?

The mentoring team were great. Having 2 young daughters they were very understanding and patient. They sent me recordings of lectures when I couldn't make the odd lecture and I felt supported all the way through the course!

How much support did you receive from Northcoders with your job search after the course?

The careers team were so insightful. They gave us tips and advice on our cover letter and CV. They also give you the option of a mock interview and tell you areas you can improve on, which is really helpful for someone like me who rambles on!

What advice would you give to anyone thinking about applying?

There will be times when you absolutely smash it and times when you want to throw your computer. For the latter, trust the process and be kind to yourself!

I have LOVED my time on the course and I'm so happy I still get to be a part of the Northcoders community!
