How did you find your time on the bootcamp?

An extremely rewarding 3 months! Met some wonderful, like-minded people. All interested in launching/re-launching a career in coding. Very much enjoyed the warm, welcoming and inclusive environment. Everyone's there to learn, with a focus on achieving the required mindset for life in the tech world. The welcome balance of a little light humour and approach ensures much needed time away from the keyboard from time to time.\

What were you doing before the bootcamp and what made you apply?

After taking several months off to consider what I'd really like to do, the answer was right in-front of me!

What was the support like on the course?

I could go several days, where no support was needed. Mentors would drop-in just to say hello and ensure I was ticking along ok. Other times, I'd be really scratching my head, at which point mentors would persist with me patiently - whether it be providing gentle guidance/direction through to much more substantial assistance.

How much support did you receive from Northcoders with your job search after the course?

Thorough background on CV preparation, with key, do's and don'ts in your pursuit of a role.

What advice would you give to anyone thinking about applying?

Have an honest think about it - are you a logical, structured thinker unafraid of solving problems?. Do a little research and have a go at writing some code. There's no substitute for doing it!

Anything else you would like to add?

The course is challenging at times, and it'll certainly make you stop and think. It's also very, very rewarding!
