How did you find your time on the bootcamp?

A truly memorable and enriching experience. I'm so pleased I chose to take my first steps on this new professional venture with Northcoders; it has been spectacularly educational, friendly and, above all, incredibly enjoyable. The amount I've learned and the friends I've made in such a short period of time speaks volumes. I couldn't recommended the bootcamp enough.

What were you doing before the bootcamp and what made you apply?

Working as a Property Manager. Whilst my company and colleagues were wonderful, the job itself did not suit my personality and did not make me happy.

What was the support like on the course?

The tutors and mentors at Northcoders are brilliant. Since some of them have done the course themselves, they're great at sharing their thought processes and knowledge and helping you solve problems yourself. A really welcoming, friendly group of people who are always more than happy to help.

How much support did you receive from Northcoders with your job search after the course?

I was very lucky; the career-team sent my CV to a prospective employer in the area I had specified during my one-to-one, I was offered an interview a week before graduation and was offered the job shortly after my interview. The help beforehand with cv-writing and interview prep was invaluable; coming from an entirely different professional background.

What advice would you give to anyone thinking about applying?

Without hesitation I would recommend Northcoders to anyone and everyone considering a career in tech. I don't think I'd have achieved so much if I'd learned to code on my own in spare time. The 12 week bootcamp has been time well spent!

Northcoders ticks all the boxes; there's the education, the support and the community. I couldn't have asked for more.
