How did you find your time on the bootcamp?

My time with Northcoders was amazing, the course was great but the people made it better. I learnt so much that I can now use and fulfill a career with!

What were you doing before the bootcamp and what made you apply?

I was a student who just finished my A-Levels. I'd known I wanted a future in Computer Science since GCSEs and all my subjects were geared towards it. I found that university was too theoretical with a lot of money and time to commit towards and this course was so practical and the best possible route.

What was the support like on the course?

We each had a mentor we could go to and had weekly meetings with. All the staff were so friendly and more like friends than teachers that it was so easy to just go and talk with them.

How much support did you receive from Northcoders with your job search after the course?

We were given access to a job board where prospective employers were looking for Northcoders and we could list our interest. I got a job offer off my first interview with a company I really liked!

What advice would you give to anyone thinking about applying?

Mess around with it in your own time to get a feel for programming. See if it's for you and when you hit a big wall, apply.

My experience with Northcoders was amazing and I'll never forget it. Made some amazing friends!
