How did you find your time on the bootcamp?

Even though it was most intense three months I had an absolutely amazing time. Not only did I get to learn new coding concepts but I met most brilliant, diverse and like minded people on the course.

What were you doing before the bootcamp and what made you apply?

I was working as a Systems Engineer in the Nuclear industry. I realised that technologies used in Nuclear were very antiquated and I wanted to be a part of the exciting innovations happening in the world of tech.

What was the support like on the course?

The teaching team were always on hand to assist if we ever got stuck. They really knew how to break down difficult concepts and make them easy to pick up rapidly.

How much support did you receive from Northcoders with your job search after the course?

Before interviews I was given a lot moral support that certainly boosted my confidence. I was also provided with useful interview tips and feedback from tutors. The brilliant thing was that the Northcoder community really chipped in as well from helping with job search to sharing their interview experiences.

What advice would you give to anyone thinking about applying?

If you’re passionate about tech and coding it’s worth investing the and effort time. You definitely won’t regret it!

I love the Northcoders community. It really is a community, one that people are really proud to be associated with. It’s great to have that network of people not only when you’re on the course but also when you graduate from the course.
