How did you find your time on the bootcamp?

Northcoders was an excellent experience, from start to finish. In a very short time I have learned many skills and those skills are incredible. The course was quite challenging at times, but I was able to secure my dream job as a software developer in an aerospace company soon after completing the course. The tutors and mentors are really helpful. They care about you and guide you throughout the course. The career team is also great and supportive.

What were you doing before the Bootcamp and what made you apply?

Before joining Northcoders, I was working as a front-end developer in a very small organisation. I was looking for a change and wanted to learn backend development as well as React for front-end, so when I found this bootcamp course, I thought it was a great opportunity to update myself with new technologies, I’ve left my job and joined this course.

What was the support like on the course?

t has been invaluable for me and I feel that I benefited greatly from being able to discuss my anxieties and problems with someone who is really willing to listen and help you.

How much support did you receive from Northcoders with your job search after the course?

The careers team were great and really supportive. Career-related sessions were amazing and were helpful in writing a CV and cover letter.

What advice would you give to anyone thinking about applying?

While learning to code on your own can be great, having a support system to keep you on track is absolutely vital. Coding bootcamps can be a great way to learn to code in a collaborative and enthusiastic learning environment.
