Hi, can you introduce yourself?

Hello all, I’m Georgia, Careers Consultant at Northcoders.

What does your job role involve?

Having now gained nearly 4 years of teaching/coaching experience, I am eager to empower people’s mindsets and inspire them towards their next great adventures. Which is exactly what my role helps accomplish as a ‘Careers Consultant’!

What did you do before your role at Northcoders?

I think I’ve worked in almost every industry now, from finance, retail and healthcare. But education is where it is at for me! Before Northcoders, I was an English teacher in South Korea.

Why do you enjoy working in tech?

Tech is such an intriguing sector to work in, creativity is chased and self-development is advocated for. It’s great to be part of an environment that is constantly seeking growth.

How do you and the wider team at Northcoders help students get their first job in tech?

We help students through providing personal CV feedback, mock interviews and long-lasting support. Getting to know my students on an individual basis also helps me work alongside the wider team to find the right roles for our graduates and what will help them reach their full potential in a new company. 

Lastly, can you tell me a fun fact about you?

I can read, speak and write in 2 dead languages. I also have a few living languages rolling around in my head too.
