How did you find your time on the bootcamp?

Simply fantastic! I started Northcoders with zero programming knowledge and finished with the ability to pass tech interviews and land my first job as a developer. It was intense at times but the support you get from the team is unreal. It's not just a coding bootcamp, it's a family, one that I feel very much a part of even after graduating.

What were you doing before the bootcamp and what made you apply?

I was a Financial Controller in the healthcare sector. My job was okay but my mind desired more. I got the chance to alter the company WordPress site and it was this task that ignited my passion for coding.

What was the support like on the course?

The teaching team were great, everything was taught in a manner that a total novice like me could understand. My mentor Jac was amazing, he really had the patience of a saint, spending the time to iron out any misconceptions I had about the work.

How much support did you receive from Northcoders with your job search after the course?

The post-course support was great, they handled everything, which allowed me to just concentrate on nailing the interview.

What advice would you give to anyone thinking about applying?

If you love a challenge, want more out of your career and you are not afraid to get completely in over your head, go for it. If I can do it, anyone can!
