How have you found your experience progressing in the industry?

Forever surprising - you don't realise how much you learn year on year until you look back to reflect...

How did you find your time on the bootcamp?

Loved it - best education I've ever taken part in. I didn't want to leave! The structure of the modules and the mentors are second to none.

What were you doing before the Bootcamp?

In between jobs (Recruitment, Poker Dealer).  Still finding out what I wanted to do as a career after finishing uni.

What made you interested in moving into tech?

Recruiting for developers and realising I was on the wrong side.  The problem solving and challenges of each day where the tasks aren't repetitive and tedious.  Career progression, satisfaction of building applications and the work life balance

What made you choose Northcoders?

Recommendation from a developer I was trying to recruit into a role.  The 99% of them securing my first role for me. 

How much support did you receive from Northcoders with your job search after the course?  They practically lined up hiring partners of their own and also helped me with applications for roles I applied to directly!

What advice would you give to anyone thinking about applying?

Do it. You have nothing to lose.  The pre-course material you are sent before having to pay a penny will allow you to decide if software development is for you or not.  It's not a corporate company and they will totally understand whatever decision you take
